Query :
How much milk can I give to a 20 months old baby and is it ok to keep giving milk with the bottle till she is 2 yrs_?
Answer:
A 20 month old baby usually can eat and digest normal food cooked for the other family members. As a source of calcium and protein, a moderate quantity of 400 - 500 ml per day {1 glass twice a day} is generally adequate. Large quantities of milk would satisfy the child`s appetite and restrict the quantity of solid food intake which is more essential for a growing. Very large quantity of milk intake would deprive the child of certain vitamins {A,D,C,B12} and minerals like iron and lead to many problems including anemia. Bottle feeding is a method to bypass the period when a child is not able to sip liquids from a tumbler. It is no longer logical to continue bottle feeding when a child is able to sip and swallow liquids from a tumbler just as adults do. It is also well documented that prolonged bottle feeding does significantly predispose to serious dental caries and orthodontic problems {crooked teeth}. Prolonged bottle feeding can also predispose to ear infections especially in the presence of upper respiratory tract infections. The same goes with sucking the liquid through a straw as a greater suction force is required to use a straw. As a general recommendation, bottle feeding should be tapered gradually and changed to tumbler feeding once the dentition {teething} starts. There are many children who have started to sip and swallow liquids since the age of 6 - 8 months {of course with assistance}. Mohammed Shaf
What is an RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication
RSS allows you to syndicate your site content
RSS defines an easy way to share and view headlines and content
RSS files can be automatically updated
RSS allows personalized views for different sites
RSS is written in XML
Why use RSS?
RSS was designed to show selected data.
Without RSS, users will have to check your site daily for new updates. This may be too time-consuming for many users. With an RSS feed (RSS is often called a News feed or RSS feed) they can check your site faster using an RSS aggregator (a site or program that gathers and sorts out RSS feeds).
Since RSS data is small and fast-loading, it can easily be used with services like cell phones or PDA's.
Web-rings with similar information can easily share data on their web sites to make them better and more useful.
