My 14 month old daughters Free T3 level is 2.2pg/ml and TSH is .04uIU/ML and Free T4 is 3.24NG/DL. When these test results were taken she was on 75mcg of synthroid no T3 just T4. Recently they have taken her down to 50mcg so if her T3 was already low will it go even lower than 2.2? Should I be concerned?

I would like to know if taking an herbal remedy for hypothyroidism would be bad for my breast fed 4 month old baby? The ingredients seemed harmless and include;Fucus vesiculosis,Avena sativa,Coleus forskohlii, and approx. 1% pure pharmaceutical grain ethanol when diluted as directed. Would it be okay for me to take this while breast feeding without harming my baby?

What questions should I ask the endocrinologist (pediatric) when I see him this week? Who should perform a fine needle biopsy if this is recommended? What determines if a nodule should be removed? My 1 year old has had hypothyroidism since she was 4 months old. She recently had thyroid tests run and the T4 was high but the TSH and T3 were low. The TSH was very low and the T3 was just barely low. Even after treatment was initiated she still had symptoms of hypothyroidism. What could these results mean? If she has been under treated or over treated what kind of outlook does that give her?

My 14 year old daughter has been diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Her T3, T4 and TSH levels are within normal range. Her RBC is low @ 3.86, MCV is high @ 91.7 and her MPV is low @ 7.7. Are these results related to the Hashimoto's?
