Investigations revealed bilirubin level of 45 with direct component of 30, SGPT - 40, SGOT - 80 and Alkaline Phosphatase - 331. CBC shows anemia with thrombocytopenia. Reticulocyte count is 18 %. What is the diagnosis?

On examination, he had hypotonia, weakness more in extensors of the calves, bilateral foot drop and absent reflexes. Other systems were normal. Stool grew polio virus on culture. Should this child be given vaccination for polio vaccine?
